Respected Jorgelina Marino & Others,

I am doing wildlife research in semi-arid region of West Bengal, India. The Wolf, Jackal and Indian Fox are present there. I've also worked on distribution of Indian Fox. I've received information of Wild Dog there from villagers but it is not recorded in Forest Dept. record. A pilot survey is very much necessary to study those two villages for conservation. Forest dept is agree to give infrastructural support, but we need some funds to initiate that. Can you suggest any funding agency who may be interested?

Please suggest me where and whom to contact for technical & financial help.
Looking forward for your reply,

With best regards,

Samya Basu

Dear Samya Basu,

You may wish to submit an application to People’s Trust for Endangered Species (PTES). We have funded conservation projects all over the worlds since 1977 and would be happy to consider an application for funding for such a project. This of course comes with the warning that there is a lot of competition for our limited funds. See details on our website at http://www.ptes.org/index.php?cat=102 or contact the Development Officer ni...@ptes.org .

Best wishes
