Postdoctoral Fellow - Fort Collins, Colorado: Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, Colorado State University
Responsibilities/Duties:
This Postdoctoral Fellow position will be part of a collaborative research initiative, and have lead responsibility for a research project, all while under
the general direction of a senior or principal researcher. The position is for 1 year (12 mos) and the Postdoctoral Fellow will be specifically responsible for implementing a research project focused on BIPOC (black, indigenous, and people of color) communities
and diversity and access of recreational fishing in Colorado. Main responsibilities include:

Develop and implementing a state-wide survey of recreational fishers

Conducting interviews with recreational fishers.

Interview and survey data management,
-
Perform data analysis
including descriptive summaries, data and results visualizations, and inferential statistics
-
Develop reports, presentations, and other deliverables summarizing project findings
-
Publish and contribute to peer-reviewed publications
-
Support other research activities as needed
Required Qualifications:
-
PhD in environmental social science, human dimensions of natural resources, or related discipline
-
Experience with social science research methodologies including quantitative, and qualitative methods, and survey design.

Skill with statistical analysis using R, SPSS, or JMP
-
Skill with qualitative analysis using NVivo, Atlas.ti, or MAXQDA
-
Demonstrated experience publishing peer-reviewed social science publications
-
Critical thinking skills and ability to perform duties under minimum supervision.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
-
Expertise in outdoor recreation, fisheries, and/or natural resource management.
-
Experience working with communities of color.
-
Experience with Qualtrics.
-
Experience supervising undergraduate students.

Salary: $
