Creating outfits with midi skirts is simple. The type of top you choose depends entirely on the style of the skirt. Or step out of your comfort zone with a leather or lace pencil skirt paired with a cute tank or camisole. We also have skirts made from lightweight materials to keep you cool on those hot summer days. High-low hems, flared silhouettes, and ruffled hems are fun and unexpected options to add a little flair to your outfit!

A midi skirt is a versatile garment that sits below the knees and extends to just above the ankles. Its flexibility makes it suitable for various style contexts, from relaxed informal wear to more formal occasions. Whether combined with a simple t-shirt for a casual aesthetic or matched with a fashionable blouse and statement necklace for a more dressed-up look, the midi skirt provides a platform for individual stylistic expression.
There are so many options! Dress it up with a blouse and heels for a night out, or dress it down with a graphic tee and sneakers for a more casual look. And speaking of shoes, there are no limits when it comes to finding the perfect pair to complete the outfit. From sandals to boots and everything in between, the midi-skirt is the perfect canvas to showcase your unique sense of style. Find more inspiration for styling a midi skirt here with our Stories!
Holaa sara!
Estoy un poco confundida con las medidas. Tu hiciste las partes de delantero y espalda por separados o usaste una sola tela? Porque las medidas no me dan. Haciendo como explicas solo me da para el delantero
I made this skirt as a full length skirt and cannot thank you enough for how clear your instructions are and how beautiful the pattern is! I am so happy with how mine turned out and will be using it again with new fabric ASAP. Thanks!

For when you want to show off the bump. We designed this body hugging midi skirt with an all-the-way-around elastic waist (read: no zippers or digging hardware) that can be styled over, on, or below the bump. Its made from the same fabric as our best-selling Before, During & After Legging: an Oeko-Tex certified bamboo-spandex blend for serious softness with just the right amount of compression.
2. Underbust
Measure your body circumference directly under your bust, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor. (Note: The tape should follow the bottom of your bra band.)
6. Thigh
Standing with feet shoulder width apart, wrap the measuring tape around the thigh, where the bottom of your butt meets the top of your thighs. Make sure to keep the tape snug, but not tight, and ensure that the the tape measure is level from front to back.
For fall and winter, I replace my tees with a long sleeve shirt or I pair it with a jacket. I usually wear booties or sneakers during these months. If I wear the skirt with booties, I usually pick out a pointed toe bootie. The pointed toe elongates the entire look. For really cold days, you could wear a pair of over-the-knee boots with the skirt. If you choose to wear a jacket or cardigan, I suggest wearing a tighter tee or tank underneath to add some depth and shape to your outfit. If you want a more relaxed look, try pairing a chunky sweater and sneakers with your skirt. Are you looking for a more polished look? Add a padded headband.
Midi skirts are great for work or formal events. The length of the skirt is perfect for these types of situations. I suggest grabbing a skirt with texture to create a more sophisticated look. I love wearing a velvet skirt, a skirt with pleats, or a silky skirt to formal events. Pair the skirt with a top that can be tucked in or that hits at the top of the skirt. I would suggest wearing a collard top for work. Add some cute jewelry and heels to finish of the look.
I selected this vintage plaid skirt that I converted to an elastic waist style last fall. I bought it secondhand, but the original wrap style was a little snug. Now I can continue to wear it and enjoy it!
I love the vibrant color palette, and it is a great all-season piece (at least for mild Southern California.) It goes with boots, sandals, sneakers, you name it! It is a comfortable, classic, and versatile piece that I enjoy restyling over and over.

The key to making a midi skirt flattering is all in the proportions. You want your skirt to either come just below your knee or cut right below the widest part of the calf. This is going to keep you from looks too short or like your legs have been chopped in odd places.
To my jeans, I'm sorry, we've had a good run, but I think we need a break. I've worn you every day for about four-months straight, and while I'll always come back to you when I'm in need a reliable and quick outfit solution, for the sake of my style and my editor status, I need to think about broadening my horizons.
Perhaps it's the sudden influx of sun but this week I've had the sudden urge to wear skirts again. This is especially handy as 2024 is shaping up to be the year of the skirt, with more styles than ever rising to the top of the fashion agenda. We've seen pencil skirts come back into the fore, whilst pleated minis are enjoying a similar revival thanks in part to the momentum gained by the release of Zendaya movie Challengers and the upcoming Wimbledon tennis tournament. Still, the skirt trend that has piqued my interest is, in my opinion, the most versatile, sophisticated, timeless and anti-trend of them all. Meet the humble yet elevated-looking cotton skirt.
Lately, I've seen fashion people around the world start wearing full skirts that nip in at the waist, flaring out before landing on the ankle or oftentimes draping down to the floor. You've likely seen them too dominating your Instagram feed as influencers have taken to the streets (or, in Isabella Cohen's instance, their local art galleries), showcasing skirts in billowing, ballerina-like shapes that sit on the body so elegantly. The reason? Their cotton-poplin fabric.
