Connecting metasploit to a database

Hi guys,

I cant figure out how to connect metasploit to a database.Whenever i try db_status command it throes up "postgresql selected,but not connected".How to fix this..Thanks in Regards!

Hi Mohan,

yes you are right, there is currently no postgresql database in pentestbox, intially when i tried to set it up, there were many problems, hopefully in v3.0, it will be there.

hi! You must configure file database.yml in %pentestbox_root%/bin/metasploit-framework/config/database.yml an example in attach.
Then you must launch msfconsole and type "db_connect -y C:/Pentestbox/bin/metasploit-framework/config/database.yml"

But how does that configuration works without postgresql files. Could you please document the method you used so that i can can apply to make it better for pentestbox users.

Not working for me since postgresql is not installed.
