Dear Pilgrims,
I was in Chicago earlier this week when I responded to Christy’s letter. Below is the original email I received from Christy. The pdf file is the original attachment to Christy’s email.
I had received her letter before going to Chicago for the IPMN annual meeting, but I can’t email outgoing mail from my computer when I’m away from home. I have to go into Comcast.net and start from scratch. So I just sent my letter from Comcast.net, but when it arrived in my mailbox on the googlegroups address, I didn’t see the attachment on it. So in case you didn’t get it, I have attached it. Sorry it’s so confusing. You can google Beit Fajjar and see the damage to the Masjid.
And by the way, if you haven’t looked at the IPMN website recently, take a gander at it. We spent quite a while at the annual meeting learning how to deal with Web 2.0! The latest in Web technology. Go to the website and click on Community and sign on to be part of the conversation in the IPMN Forum.

Here is a copy of the letter from the UCC Mass Conference that will be delivered to the Beit Fajjar Mosque that was burned by settlers last week. It will be delivered by a group of leaders from Boston, 2 UCC Pastors, 2 from the Episcopal Church and 1 American Jewish friend. There will be a Press Conference on Thursday afternoon (10/21) when we will present your messages to the leaders of the Mosque and the community.
There will also be a local magazine article written about this. We would like to include your Interfaith and Church messages of encouragement and support with permission to give you public recognition. This is the news that our media should be reporting. People need to hear your messages of peace, hope, and love in the midst of the fear and hatred. We want to make sure the media gives this appropriate and accurate coverage.
I am sorry I haven't had time to send out clear communications on this, but I've been out in the field every day without computer or reflection time. Please let me know if you have other questions or ideas. If you can email your message, we will make sure that it is included in original, unedited context. It's so beautiful to see the family of Abraham come together at a time like this. Thank you all for your witness and living examples.
