Hi,

somehow I have a little problem in understanding how PAT is working.
I would expect PAT to connect with my running Mondrian server. But
where to configure the location of Mondrian?
In the connection area I can connect to my relational datasources via
JDBC, but not Mondrian?

I'm really confused, please help me out.

Hi Florian,

PAT has 2 options, the first is an embedded mondrian server allowing
users to upload a schema and then point pat at a database, we also
allow XML/A connections to any xmla datasource, when you try to add a
connection click the xmla tab and pass it an url to the running
mondrian instance.

Cheers

Thnaks Tom,

what I didn't realize was that mondrian is embedded, therefore my
confusion.
Set up mondrian as XMLA provider now, I can connect now.
But somehow it seems to be very unstable. Can't edit connections,
can't delete connections, nearly every query ends up with a server
error.

But I'll try to figure it out, it looks much more beautiful than
JPivot.

Thanks
Florian

Yeah there are still issues, edit connections was fixed in trunk a couple of days ago, delete connections sorta works but maybe not in the released version. Queries should be ok, although again there are still issues, keep checking the releases we are heading towards a 1.0 bug free release ;)

Cheers

Tom
