I've read from the project home on googls code that a new version with
big improvements is coming.
I'm planning to integrate PAT in a web application, I'd like to know
if there is a planned date for this new release.

Thank you very much

Hi Daniele,

The project has now been renamed to Saiku. You can find a holding page
with info and a demo here (http://analytical-labs.com).

Basically we have rewritten the server using a far more lightweight
restful infrastructure. Allowing people to easily write their own ui
and the server communicates in JSON. Our supplied UI has now had a
very nice overhaul and is written in JQuery allowing easy integration
into 3rd party applications.

Feel free to reply to this mail or swing by ##saiku on the freenode
IRC channel if you want to find out more.

Cheers

Tom

Hi Tom,

I've given a quick look at the demo: really good job!
Just a pair of quick questions:
  1. there will be the ability to set a filter? I haven't seen it in the demo
  2. is it possible to download a working version of the server or a war file for testing purpose?
  3. when do you plan to release a stable version?
Thank you very much

Hey Daniele,

Thanks for the feedback.

There are a few things currently missing from the ui, namely the filter which you noticed, and the ability to set fine grained selections, to make the filter useful. These are top priority and will be arriving as soon as our UI guy gets back from a short holiday in the USA.
We indeed were discussing a "stable" release date and the likely time seems to be in March, once we have testing and docs written.

That being said of course the source is freely available as is the CI build which is available here:  http://ci.analytical-labs.com/job/saiku-server/

Thanks again,

Tom
