Cannot install

When I attempt to install I get this message

This application requires an update to Adobe AIR that is not available
for your system.

Please view the system requirements for Adobe AIR and update your
system accordingly

As far as I can tell I have the most recent AIR version and I can't
identify any updates that I could have but don't. Any ideas about what
might be causing the problem?
