Hello committee/all,

With these kind of mails coming into my mailbox hinting at possible fraud/corruption in signing contracts, brings to life some new fears and possible motives behind some to help themselves to a seat in the committee.

I demand that any and every working committee email group, be it on common floor or elsewhere, be opened up to all the residents.
Such closed doors won't do, since people have lost faith on some of the committee members and their motives and their ways of working.
I request that the committee member e-group settings be changed to read/write for all the residents but emails of new posts be sent only to the committee members..
This, so that people can peep in whenever and whatever they feel like within the committee internal emails, and comment, suggest, question, request extra info, wherever required..

To give an example is this case itself. It looks like the decision to choose a vendor, at best, was taken in a haste, without contacting multiple vendors and without the final approval/knowledge of some other committee members. By opening up these mails to all the residents, people could have pitched in with their contacts, suggestions and lets assume if someone knew of another agency at cheaper rates or with some other advantages, they could have suggested so. More importantly malpractices would be feared when more eyes are watching.

Another example would be small day to day decisions like 9-10 guards on duty/payroll vs say 6 or 7. For these day to day workings, you cannot be asking each and every resident before taking any decision. But by keeping the committee communications open to all, you are open to suggestions from the outer world, who might have some valuable and timely suggestions to make.

Also since in the lack of a proper election process, many committee members are clustered in certain crosses and lanes, while there are other areas left in the ruck. So as there isn't any proper representation, its all the more important for you all to open up your communications, share meeting dates and MOMs, so that any one can join, and suggest in the interest of certain areas/lanes/crosses which might have gotten overlooked due to lack of proper representation. Even otherwise more participation should always be welcome.

Also when you throw numbers like 77-23, 0.89, are we just here to pay what you say, or will you substantiate why Mr X owes A and Mr Y owes B for maintenance..
I would have liked to see the math and workings first, as to how you have achieved these nos, then see if some people think otherwise, and if there was consensus on the same, one could go ahead with it.
To this effect Loga had volunteered to a door to door opinion gathering effort to resolve the maintenance deadlock. Can we have the publication thereof. Cause that was in strong contrast to the rigged GBM (to pass by-laws) that lacked quorum.

Pls pass this mail, and publish LOGA's findings, to as many other residents as you know.
cause I was in bcc when receiving this mail, so I do not have the emails of others bcced. Someone reached out to me crying for being blocked from sending mails to common floor. When actually there were no less than 15-30% of owners/residents blocked from common-floor usage for a good 5-8 months and all important communications like draft and GBM for passing by-laws were sent on common-floor and common-floor only.

And then someone dared to ask someone to apologize, just to get access to common-floor!! Can we weed out these authoritarians from the committee first before weeding out the weeds from our gardens.

Others pls keep doing the good work, but within glass doors and open windows.
I am holding onto paying any maint tillI I hear something in this regard, that is fair and acceptable to each and every sane and the sundry.
Whatever the case may be, I would love to hear more in this regard, sooner rather than the later.

Cheers,
Niraj

Dear Salai,

Your mail to entire community is ridiculous, highly immature, unethical & totally not expected from a person holding responsible position (President) in the association. Being a President of the association it is expected that you  will have challenges which you are supposed to handle instead of running away from the situation and raising allegations against other committee members without looking into the background & details – Since receipt of your mail today many people who met us are wondering – How an association will run with such an immature President ?

Besides, we also want to share with residents your cowardly act of sending a mail full of allegations on us and then immediately blocking us on common floor so that we can’t send any clarification mail (Proof- Screen shot of below) . This clearly demonstrates your pitiable ethics & integrity.

Regarding your allegation on “MFS contract” that you were not consulted/ involved in the discussions– below is the mail screen shot from MFS which clearly proves that you arelieing.and trying to mislead the community by fabricating fake stories.

On maintenance- “you said in your mail that it was discussed with Dr. Satish & his friends” – you have to be aware that as a President you are responsible for entire community not just Dr. Satish & his friends. Maintenance is a vast topic which impacts each and every person residing in the community. Hence you are no one to make decision alone and send the notice without conducting a GB meeting & discussing it with residents & taking their approval before coming to any conclusion– it’s no less than dictating. Hope you at least have an understanding that having agreed maintenance as per BUA in Bylaws, paid maintenance to builder earlier & property tax to Panchayat office using BUA. Hence, collecting maintenance using different approach is illegal & can push President & Secretary behind bars in no time. Having said this we are not against any new proposals for calculating the maintenance in the benefit of community. However any new proposals needs to be passed in the GB meeting followed by the approval of Registrar of Societies before the same is implemented.

Salai, you have to hard code it in your mind that you exist as a President because of the society and society is not there because of you. So you need to have respect for the people residing here and listen to everything they say and take critical decisions only through GB.

Based on your false allegations to defame other society members & misleading entire society through your mail. Hence, be honest to yourself , think & decide whether you would still like to continue as PPOWA President.

Note: For transparency reasons – we will be pasting this mail on the PPOWA Notice board near club house

Regards,

Satish
