Are there any plans to use github instead of google code?

It might be easier for people to contribute if we move to github.

Bitbucket might be more realistic than GitHub since it supports mercurial. In case you hadn't noticed the repository is not a git repository. I don't know what Kris or the other developers think of moving, but if they were yo do so, I suspect it would be to a service that provides mercurial support.

Github would attract a lot of patches and there's hopefully nothing to prevent somebody making a github hosted mirror that sees google code as upstream. However, there's so much good work coming out of the maintainers that I'd rather spoil them with whatever method makes them comfortable!

people who are willing to admit that they are crazy.
