Let's say I do
:history foobar

I see the list of filtered sites. How can I then use hints to select one rather than scrolling through them?

In fact, :history is acting strangely anyway. The -max option seems to have no effect, which would help. Some URLS, when I navigate and press enter, then show two possible matches (not sure why) at the bottom of the window but I can't execute the one that is highlighted nor can I navigate between the options.

You should be able, from the history list, to use all the normal hints keys. For example, on FF15, I bring up history, hit "f", and type in "1<Enter>" to visit the most recent link.

I'm resurrecting this because it is still a problem and I didn't explain myself clearly enough. The basic problem is that I can't filter the :history command using more than one word.

If I do :history flickr<ENTER>
I get a list of history entries and can use 'f' to follow hints, etc.

However, if I do :history flickr activity<ENTER>
Pentadactyl just says "Output Multiline Press ENTER or command to continue" and then if I hit <ENTER> (or anything else I can think of) the message disappears...but none of the list of history entries that were showing before I pressed <ENTER> are listed. The command line just closes.

Forgot to include. I am running

Pentadactyl hg6923 on Mozilla/5.0, OSX 10.8
Gecko/20100101 Fireox/20.0
