The squadron returned to the Quirinal on 11 May 1948, when the second president of Italy Luigi Einaudi reestablished the "Squadron of Carabineer Guards" (Squadrone Carabinieri Guardie) with the historical uniforms of 1876.[1][7]
In 1961 the division was called "Squadrons Group" (Gruppo squadroni) and it was renamed "Carabineer Command of the Guards of the President of the Republic" (Comando Carabinieri Guardie del Presidente della Repubblica) in 1965.[1][7]

National Police Week honors and recognizes the service and sacrifice of police officers across the country. During this week-long observance in May, the Wyvern community gathered for various events and ceremonies in honor of the Defenders who serve our country, defend our bases and protect our Airmen.
The 99th Force Support Squadron oversees military and civilian personnel support, education services, enlisted professional education, and family support along with lodging, food services, club management, laundry, mortuary affairs, base honor guard, base library, and recreational activities.
Wreaths were presented to honor Soldiers from World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Jim Matchin, a Vietnam veteran presented a wreath to honor the 1,648 Sky Soldiers who died in that war. Mason Byrant, a retired command sergeant major who served in the brigade, presented a wreath for the 91 Sky Soldiers killed in the Global War on Terror.

George H.W. Bush recently completed a scheduled port call in the Naples and Campania region where they hosted local officials and key leaders for a reception to honor the U.S.-Italy relationship. CSG-10, George H.W. Bush CSG, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.

American Dunes is committed to raise funds and awareness for Folds of Honor. American Dunes marks the birthplace of Folds of Honor and is proud to honor that legacy. Folds of Honor has awarded over 35,000 scholarships worth $185M to the dependents of military KIA or disabled in combat.
At the end of WWII, the university quickly builds several two-story residence halls at the top of Dwight Way to accommodate women students displaced from private housing by the return of veterans. Two are named for distinguished UC Berkeley alumnae who died in the war. One is Margaret Sanford Oldenburg, a 1931 graduate who joined the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) squadron. The squadron trained women to fly military planes between bases, freeing up male pilots for combat assignments. Oldenburg was killed in a training accident in Texas in 1943.
MASTER SERGEANT SHAUN M. SPENCER is the First Sergeant, United States Air Force Honor Guard, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, District of Columbia. He serves as the key enlisted advisor to the Honor Guard Command and Chief Enlisted Manager on matters concerning the welfare, career progression, and mission readiness of more than 290 total force personnel. He provides guidance and direction to squadron senior leadership on unit morale, career enhancement, and discipline. His duties include performing quality force reviews on all enlisted performance reports, awards, and personnel actions. Additionally, Sergeant Spencer monitors compliance with Air Force Standards, counsels personnel on leadership, military customs and courtesy, and acts to resolve complaints.
The 524th Special Operations Squadron (524th SOS), located at Duke Field, Florida, is one of four flying squadrons within the 492d Special Operations Wing. The squadron flies the C-146A Wolfhound in order to provide agile intra-theater mobility support for special operations forces worldwide.
The 524th Tactical Fighter Squadron was created on July 1, 1958 and operated the F-101. In 1959 the unit was reassigned to Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico as a part of the 27th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW). From 1959-1972 the unit operated the F-101 and from 1972-1998 the F-111. On July 8, 1980, the unit was re-designated the 524th Tactical Fighter Training Squadron and became the primary F-111 training squadron during this time period for the 27th FTW. The unit was renamed the 524th Fighter Squadron on Nov. 1, 1991 and transitioned to the F-16 in 1998 until the unit was deactivated on Sep. 24, 2007.
