Just wanted to help people with the same issue and the newest version of shark 7 Codec pack.
I am running Subtitle Wokshop 6.0b and shark 7 advanced codec 5.5.3 and windows 10. Here is what you have to do to get subtitle workshop to work with .mp4 .mkv and .srt files:
Problem : Hello, when i choose to open a .mp4 file to check if the subtitles are synced with the video, i get this error : "D:..(path of the video)..\NameOfVideo.mp4" is not a valid video file. Any suggestions?
Renaming the file extension is going to acheive absolutely nothing. I've had various problems with Subtitle Workshop rejecting valid video files ( generally MKVs), in those cases I've used AVIDemux to dumb them down into AVI files ( XVID video codec, MP3 for audio ), they've been foolproof so far.
.srt-files are actually plain text files. When i upload subtitles in .txt-file my script works fine. But when i try to upload the same file with .srt extension i get "MIME type is not allowed!" error. 'application/x-subrip' (found it here) is obviously a culprit. But what should i use instead? Thanks in advance!
I don't think you could do this validation. Plain text file may have a lot of mimetypes, like "text/plain", "application/octet-stream", "text/str", etc.You could do a white list, but also need to do another type of validation, maybe by content, or using a library.

The Federal awarding agency must design a program and create an Assistance Listing before announcing the Notice of Funding Opportunity. The program must be designed with clear goals and objectives that facilitate the delivery of meaningful results consistent with the Federal authorizing legislation of the program. Program performance shall be measured based on the goals and objectives developed during program planning and design. See 200.301 for more information on performance measurement. Performance measures may differ depending on the type of program. The program must align with the strategic goals and objectives within the Federal awarding agency's performance plan and should support the Federal awarding agency's performance measurement, management, and reporting as required by Part 6 of OMB Circular A-11 (Preparation, Submission, and Execution of the Budget). For discretionary grants and cooperative agreements that are competed, the Federal awarding agency must announce specific funding opportunities by providing the following information in a public notice:
For discretionary Federal awards, unless prohibited by Federal statute, the Federal awarding agency must design and execute a merit review process for applications, with the objective of selecting recipients most likely to be successful in delivering results based on the program objectives outlined in section 200.202. A merit review is an objective process of evaluating Federal award applications in accordance with written standards set forth by the Federal awarding agency. This process must be described or incorporated by reference in the applicable funding opportunity (see appendix I to this part.). See also 200.204. The non-Federal entity must, at a minimum, provide the equivalent insurance coverage for real property and equipment acquired or improved with Federal funds as provided to property owned by the non-Federal entity. Federally-owned property need not be insured unless required by the terms and conditions of the Federal award.
Real property, equipment, and intangible property, that are acquired or improved with a Federal award must be held in trust by the non-Federal entity as trustee for the beneficiaries of the project or program under which the property was acquired or improved. The Federal awarding agency may require the non-Federal entity to record liens or other appropriate notices of record to indicate that personal or real property has been acquired or improved with a Federal award and that use and disposition conditions apply to the property.
