ok guys an update for you all. I have a new and improved way to talk
to the pennytel API's that will allow me full access to the whole API
going forward. There are still a few issues of some functions in the
API not been correctly supported and i am looking into that at the
min. Sadly one of those functions has to do with smartdial so my
release is delayed till i can get that fixed.

Second i am planning to split the app if you as the users will support
that. I am thinking of only upgrading the API in the current version
and marking it as the free version. I would then start a paid version
that would contain a lot of the UI improvements you guys want, more
features over time and hopefully a lot better support for all the
different number formats you keep throwing at me. I will also look at
fixing issues with a few of the stranger phones. The ones where
things don't work as they should because their addon UI breaks things.
SO would you support this idea of a paid app and if you what do you
think is a reasonable price?

Just so you all know most if not all the money would go to new android
phones as my is a HTC Dream and makes it hard to test a lot of the
issues you are having as i never see them.

guys it will not be till after xmas for the update. just went back to
almost square one on the API. The code i was using has hit a block
that it just can't get around with the API. I am going to have to
build a custom code generator to talk to pennytel and that is going to
take quite a bit of time. I am on holidays from next week so it is
unlikely to be done till early next year.

This is really driving me nuts. If there was not so many uses of the
app i would have given up on it as not worth it as pennytel API is so
hard to work with on android.

Hi Chris

did you talk to PennyTel if they are willing to make some changes to the API?

Thank you

R.

I, for one, will be pleased to subsidize your new phone, and then
some!
Sorry the API is such a pain for you, but I'm really looking forward
to the
update!

Hi Radek,

I have in the past and they made some changes but they will no longer
maintain those changes and that is why i need to move to support the
normal API. I have a few ideas that i hope will work but it will be a
big job to implement it but i have a week after xmas were i will be
home off work and i hope to get some work done on it then.
