SmartDial not used

Hi!

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

I have successfully sync'd my contacts with Pennytel (I removed all
from Pennytel first and then sync'd contacts from my mobile). I see
the contacts added into the SmartDial section on Pennytel's website.

However, when I try to call my other mobile or home (which I see in
the smartdial list), I see that the pilot number is first called
instead of the smartdial number.

Any idea why this would be?

I store all my contacts with +61xxxxxxxxx. Would this create any
problems or any idea why this would be?

Thanks

That is a strange one. Your 100% sure it is the pilot number and not
the smartdial number it is using as they are quite similar. Formatting
the numbers in +61xxxxxxx format with no spaces or anything apart from
the + and numbers is what works best.

I honestly have no idea what this could be. When you click the sync
smartdial button in my app was there any error displayed?

Hi,

I did have trouble at first also, went through google and removed all dash, space, +, watch out for trailing spaces very tricky.
My nexus now runs extra smooth and is fantastic managing my phone contracts.

Thanks Rob,

I have removed all non-digit characters except for the + sign. I will
check trailing spaces. Did you say you had to remove the + sign
also?

I don't want to have to do that because then when I travel overseas,
none of my phone numbers will work ...

Removing the plus does not help either

It prefers the + is there :) It is just all the other characters as i
need to match them up to numbers from pennytel and contacts on the
phone. One day i will update it to be more flexible but for now the
phone number should only contain +1234567890 anything else and it may
cause an issue
