Hey RCF!
Brena here - I’m part of an organization at Penn called Students Against Sex Trafficking (SAST), and we're holding our first annual conference this Friday, March 18th. Human trafficking is a major violation of human rights worldwide, and if you’re interested in more ways to get involved in promoting social justice, I would highly recommend you attend. This will also be a nice event to attend before large group and the the lock-in haha.
Several speakers from faith-based organizations will be attending the conference as well:
1. Eliza Reock from Shared Hope International, a Christian nonprofit organization. You can read their Statement of Faith and their mission values here: http://sharedhope.org/about-us/our-mission-and-values/
2. David Conrad from Rapha House, a Christian nonprofit group that particularly focuses on ending sex trafficking amongst children. David Conrad is a Pastor and has dedicated his ministry to the cause of ending human trafficking. https://raphahouse.org/about
Here is a link to a google doc with the biographies of all the participants as well as the schedule breakdown of the conference: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_f1uBpUUdLD9reKq8DJie9VOe_AS2UDO0NbUthxcd2M/edit?usp=sharing/
