I have an Webmap for which I have created a couple of preplanned offline areas and when I try to load the offline maps using DownloadPreplannedOfflineMapJob, the download is usually very slow and at times get stuck at 15% in most cases before it starts again after a few minutes.
In 200.1 we had a bug that prevents more specific progress being reported between 15% and 92%, and that issue should have been fixed in 200.3 and above versions (issue 4032 for internal tracking). Please share more details, so we can debug further - maybe it's something that we still need to fix.
In terms of slow download, it could be related to large amount of tiles and data. Try a more "zoom-in" scale and see if it improves, say level of detail around 20 - 21. If it still takes more than 1 minute in a normal network, it would be abnormal.
I wanted to create a GP service that will be able to clip and download raster data for a certain user defined area. In order to accomplish this I decided that the Extract Data task model would be appropriate. So I used this model to create a geoprocessing service on ArcGIS Server.
When executing the tool from ArcGIS Server, I have noticed that when I select smaller area, it works just fine, but when I draw larger polygon in order to clip larger area from the source raster there is a problem, the output is only few KB and if I try to open it in ArcMap, nothing is displayed. This happens when tiff is chosen as an output format. I checked the GP results window and I think the message is misleading (Invalid extension), which is definitely not the case since the exact same tool with the exact same settings works perfectly fine when I select smaller area AND tiff is supported by default in the Extract Data Model from ESRI.
I was thinking that it might have to do something with the size of the output, but even stranger, when I choose file geodatabase raster as output format, no problem at all, it works perfectly no matter how small or large the area of interest is!
Hello,
Im looking for a little guidance -- We have an internal service where I work that is high-latency high throughput. That is every request takes about 200ms to return an answer, but the service can happily handle thousands of request at the same time, reutrning all in about 200ms. If I had a thousand rows of data to process I can send them all at roughly the same time and process them in about 200ms.
Heres the rub -- the download tool only lets me send 32 max concurrent connections. This mean that if I have a 1000 rows of data my processing needs roughly (1000/32)*200. With java messaging queue we regularly put 100k rows through this service in under 30 minutes. With the alteryx download tool I need about 15 mins to run 4k rows.
Is there any way I can speed up the download and increase the number of concurrent connections? Ive found multiple download tools will not run concurrently even if I split the data.
Im looking into writing a faster service connector in R, but I wanted to avoid that if possible.
With help from Stackoverflow I created a workflow (attached) that creates and executes a batch script that in turn kicks off concurrent curl processes, then waits for each to finish before exiting. Alteryx then reads the downloaded data back in and presents it as if it came out of the Download tool. Hopefully you can edit it to suit your needs.
While the download speeds have been just inside the realm of tolerable over the past year with the NBN (the Nighthawk worked perfectly on our previous cable internet connection), having recently taken to playing peer-to-peer networked games such as GTAonline my internet stability has become a massive source of frustration.
Attached is a screenshot of my last several speed-tests. I have noticed no correlation between wired/unwired or the different wifi bands in relation to these massive drops in upload speed; the last 5ghz test I did for example (not included in screenshot) came back with 12(ping) / 30.86mbps / 0.14mbps
i am contecting cable to computer to download from camera. it shows all photos and i select then select download to file on computer. It is capturing only several photos and then making multiple copies....it changes everytime i try it ...can't figure it out.
Hi Nancyedmunds!
So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know exactly what equipment you're using and the operating system. Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue.
Thanks!
firgured it out so thanks. I was not looking at the date of the photos taken and was looking at todays photos. of course this did not show the photos from thanksgiving! anyway did upgrade software and hopefully i have this taken care of and will remember this next time i store photos and don't upload to computer.
I have Adobe Express on my iPad Pro. Been using it for a couple years no problem. It seems a few days ago it started dropping image quality resolution when I "save to camera roll". Not sure if it was because of the most recent update?
The first of the 2 attached pics is the now downloaded version. The 2nd pic is a screenshot I take of the project before download as it looks in "my projects"
Greetins everyone! I was curious about making my son a profile for my Quest 3 in order so he can play my games but only with his saving slot. I saw on the Meta FAQ page that when having a game downloaded on the main account, it does need to be downloaded on the second account but do not take up any space. For, me this is kinda weird because now I have created my son an account and all the games still require to be downloaded. Furthermore, I have seen this reddit post: _multiple_account_app_sharing_downloads_us... where everyone complained that it does take double the space. This is problematic because we got the 128 GB Quest 3. So, it would be a pleasure if anyone can tell me if this is a current bug or am I doing something wrong?
Hey there, @louis.12Hehe ! We appreciate you reaching out to us about this concern. You are correct; it does ask for a download. This is done in order to keep track of user scores and data. If the admin has the game already downloaded, it will not take any extra storage. What you are experiencing is part of the device's functionality. We hope this provides some clarification, we are more than happy to help with any further questions or concerns.

I downloaded the stock photo from the website directly and within photoshop itself and I've changed the resolution and resized but it's still pixelated, no matter what the size is it seems to stay the same. I'm getting frustrated because it seems like I've paid for adobe stock for no reason and every image I download is pixelated. The preview on the website looks fine but the AI file is heavily pixelated and won't change
Is there any other way I can do this without Illustrator? I don't really want to pay for that since I'm broke. Just trying to add some clouds onto a photo and I don't want to download someones photo from Google and steal their work so I'm trying to do the right thing and use stock photos, but it seems no matter the website I download from I have this issue.
And if I did pay for Illustrator, how would I then edit it in Photoshop? Do I just edit the photo in Illustrator? Do I somehow send it to photoshop and then go from there? I have no idea and thought this would be somewhat easy. Sorry, am new at this and kind of frustrated. I'm trying to figure out how this works and it's really complicated lol. It seems kinda weird for Adobe to add Adobe Stock onto Photoshop if I have to go to another program and then go back on Photoshop just to use the thing I downloaded on Photoshop. Maybe there's another reason to that, idk.
You say you're downloading stock photos - is this Adobe stock, or some public stock? If public, please share a link, it's a puzzle why an AI would seem to be a photo. If it's a Adobe stock photo, please give the public link (not any download link for your account).
It looks like Jamf Protect or Jamf Radar can not do this. It can only stop the files being executed after they have been downloaded to the Macbook. Is there a way we can implement download restrictions using Jamf Pro?
JAMFs products all operate on the device level. EDR clients are responsive by nature, to prevent the file from getting to the device you need a network security tool. A network security tool can inspect traffic in flight, and quarantine traffic with malicious or undesired content.
