To the attendees of Monday's meeting:
As promised, here are the designs previously drawn up by George Haberman
for the proposed grocery store to be located at 5200 Penn Avenue.
"5200 Penn Ave" is the original design with entrance on Coral street,
rejected by residents at the December meeting.
"Penn Ave CP 1" and "Penn Ave CP 2" are scenarios without an entrance on
Coral street. These documents show the difficulty of bringing a truck
in solely from Penn Ave, without any secondary entrance.
"5200 Penn Ave-Pacific" is the most current design, which you
encountered at the recent meeting. This design is a compromise, which
would bring trucks in from Penn Ave and route them onto S. Pacific,
where they could return to Penn. This design requires reopening the
portion of Pacific Ave between Coral and Penn to two way traffic.
For those of you that have volunteered for the 5200 Penn Avenue
committee, we will contact you soon regarding a meeting date.
