Just a quick note to all, especially since this 70+ strong reply-to list
is a bit unwieldy.

This seems like a perfect type of debate/discussion for the neighborhood
google group (and email list) we've had setup for several years now:

http://groups.google.com/group/pennavepgh

(click the "Join this group" link to the right)

I invite you all to subscribe to the group and move this and other
discussions there.

Hopefully having a open, neutral forum for everyone in the neighborhood
will encourage additional debate and discussion of this issue as well as
many others.

Dear Stephan and all,

Thanks for the invitation, but for the moment I won't be joining the
discussion group. While I clearly disagree with David Nash, I regret
responding in this format. A committee is being set up based on last
Monday's meeting with Brantley Tillman and George Haberman through the
BGC. I have found Tillman and Haberman serious and respectful to the
concerns and needs of the neighborhoods that will be effected and
served by a new grocery store in walking distance to many local
residents. Many residents of the Garfield neighborhoods do not have
ready access to the internet, so I don't think a google group or email
discussions will be adequately inclusive to those who will be affected
by this process. I will read what is posted but not further
participate in the internet discussions. I will be participating in
the resident's committee that is being set up.

Best regards, Bill Cornell
