Women in Thought Conference: "Homemakers and Workforce Shakers"

Hi Women in Thought members!

There will be a mandatory general body meeting this Thursday 3/15 at
8pm in the
Penn Women's Center. It will be really quick - less than 30 minutes
long. The
Co-Presidents and Conference Chairs have been really busy these last 2
weeks
planning our annual women's conference, which will take place next
Friday, March
23rd at 4:30PM. We'll be discussing the details of the conference
then.

The title of this year's conference is "Homemakers and Workforce
Shakers." The
subject is a discussion of the decision of highly educated women to
eventually
become homemakers. Our keynote speaker is Leslie Bennetts, author of
The
Feminine Mistake (a book based off of Betty Friedan's The Feminine
Mistake) and
writer at Vanity Fair and the New York Times. Leslie has been featured
in
numerous TV shows and interviews, including The Today Show. Several
other
panelists will engage in a discussion after Bennetts's speech.
