regarding Iraqi Refugees. Could you please distribute widely? On
Saturday June 21st from 10:00AM - 4:00PM at Arch Street Friends
Meeting House( 4th and Arch Streets) The Nationalities Service Center
and IRAC ( Iraq Refugee Advisory Committee) will host an event:
Welcoming Iraqi Families, Celebrating Iraqi Culture in order to raise
awareness of the plight of Iraqi Refugees and to raise funds for
Iraqis coming to Philadelphia this summer. In honor of world refugee
day we will celebrate Iraqi Culture through art, photography and
speakers.
Raed Jarrar, Iraqi Political Analyst and consultant to AFSC Iraq
Program will be the keynote speaker.
Iraqis living in Philadelphia will tell their stories.
Peter Lems, AFSC and I will speak about our trip to Jordan and Syria.
Lily Yeh, Philadelphia artist, will do a healing art project with
Iraqi families.
Photographs by award winning photojournalist Linda Panetta and other Iraqi art.
