Is it possible to enter a carriage return when entering text?

e.g. to be able to enter:

line 1
line 2
line 3

into any sort of text control?

I saw a post from two years ago looking for something similar.

The inablity to key in multiple lines of text in either the plain text
of rich-text control makes for very difficult editing - especially
when you can paste multiple lines of text into the control.

Having to keep notepad open just to enter multiple lines of text is a
big limitation as I have to keep copying/pasting them if I want to
correct the text...

Is this possible? Is there a keyboard shortcut I have missed?

Thank you

Hello,

You should use shift+enter to enter a carriage return inside a Rich
text element.
Plain text elements are single-line texts.

Thank you for the quick response - I could not see that anywhere, and
had been trying ALT+CR, CTRL+CR....

One other question - is it possible to resize images in one aspect
only - i.e. when I try and resise any image it always resizes both the
X and Y axis..

Thank you

Hello,

Resizing a picture with the mouse maintain the aspect ratio but you
can also resize pictures by this way:
- select the picture
- modify Width value in the "W:" or height value in the "H:" displayed
in the toolbar
- press "enter" to validate change

To come back to the original size, right click on the picture >
Actions > To Original Size
