Issue exists on pencil 1.0.6 and 1.1.0 for:

Firefox Add-on
Standalone, Windows XP

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. click on document menu;
2. select 'Export Page as PNG';
3. enter file name to export;
4. choose location to save
5. click to save
6. file fails to appear

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. click on document menu;
2. select 'Export Document';
3. choose 'Output format', select 'Single Web page';
4. click next
5. select template (Default HTML template) from master Templates;
6. tick 'Other Options'
7. select destination (desktop)
8. click on finish

**Progress bar hangs, and eventually freezes
**Empty folder created called 'pages' - no data

What is the expected output?

(i.) Rasterized graphics (PNG file);
(ii.) HTML page.

What do you see instead?

(i.) no image file, no file
(ii.) empty folder, no files

What version of the product are you using?

Pencil 1.0.6

On what operating system?

XP

Uninstalled software several times, no luck - will still not let me
export any of my pencil documents to PNG or Master Templates (I have
installed them all - lol).

Have posted this message originally at Google code;

http://code.google.com/p/evoluspencil/issues/detail?id=129

Would appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

I am having the same issue - I upgraded yesterday to 1.1.0 and am now
only able to export single screen shots as PNG - unable to do the
whole document. Also I downloaded the .odt and .html templates from
the site and received an error Exception... "Component returned
failure code:0x80520001 (NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH)
[nsILocalFile.initWithPath]" nsresult: "0x80520001
(NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH)" location: "JS frame ::
chrome://pencil/content/Exporter/OOConversionExporter.js ""
anonymous :: line 33" data:no]

Hi, I have seen a similar error message but not able to reproduce
it... another test with a 'generate all PNG' work but display an error
message: "Error exporting document - TypeError: callback is not a
function"
Hope that it can help to debug ;-)

This seems to be caused by a bug in Gecko when the MozAfterPaint event
is not triggered correctly for SVG content with large embedded images.
The r142 commit tries to fix this issue. Hope this will work for you.
I will make an updated build shortly.

Cheers,
/an

I'm seeing the same error message whenever I try to export to a PDF
document. I'm using Pencil 1.1 build 1 on Windows XP. Is there a fix
available?

Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
There is a RC2 available but I do not know if it will solve your
problem ...

It doesn't seem to. It looks like RC2 is only available as a plugin,
so I downloaded it and tried it, but the same issue appears. Should I
file a bug?

Thanks,
Lisa

Any update on this issue? I have 1.1.1 RC2 and still have these same
errors for PDF, etc. exports.

Basic Web and PNG works fine.

Hello,

same issue here with the latest Pencil 2.0.3 version on Ubuntu... cannot export in any format now, I suspect it is due to big embedded images.

Any help?

Thank you,

Jorge

Export to HTML and PDF creates an empty file in both cases.
