Hello, I just found this software and I'm pretty impressed.  But one thing that has me stumped is the Multi-segment and Curvy Connectors in the Flowchart stencils.  How do you add additional segment to the lines?  I've tried every key combination, mouse-press that I can think of, and nothing is working - I have a whole bunch of 2-point lines.

Sorry if this is documented somewhere, but I did try to find it!  Thanks.

I'd like to know where to find documentation, too. I can't figure out how to make curvy lines curve.
Thanks! Eric

This was useful for me:

Regarding free lines and other dynamic connectors, they need to be anchored to another stencil.  If you drag an endpoint of the connector over a corner of a stencil, you'll see the drag target box change color and grow in size.  Release the mouse and the connector will be associated with that stencil.  You can then alter the path of the connector by moving either the connector or the stencil.  So far as I know, a dynamic connector may have this association with only one stencil at a time.

I realize I'm late to the party, but I hope this helps.

Hope this helps.

yes, please tell us how the Multi-Segment connector works! I understand how to anchor the endpoints, but I can't figure out how to add more segments.

Working with FlowChart Curvy Connectors:

  1. Draw a "Curvy Connector"
  2. Draw a "connectionPoint"
  3. Drag the line end point to the "connectionPoint".
After that line end will stay still on the connectorPoint, so You can change the positon of the "Curvy Connector" and line will change size and path to the "connectiionPoint".
You can change path delivery way: When You drag "Curvy Connector" to the "connectionPoint" - the red rectangle can appear in 8 places (or more) around "connectionPoint" (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardinal_direction)

The curvy and multi corner connections are bizare. Never seen any other applications with these connection rules. Not intuitive at all.

I love the tool, but some of the basic steps of using the built-in shapes are so unintuitive that it's hard to believe that your answer is the closest I've found online to any sort of instructions. Any chance there's a resource you can point me to, or that you might be able to help me figure out how to do things like input a line length or change the color of flowchart shapes?

Has anyone figured out how to use the connectors to dynamically connect using pencil on a mac?
