I am excited to announce a new feature that makes it easier than ever to track and showcase publications using Pencil Code.
Highlights:
Automatic Scientific Usage Page – now available on ReadTheDocs (https://pencil-code.readthedocs.io/en/latest/intro/scientific.html), this page automatically compiles all publications referencing Pencil Code, grouped by year and research topic.
Add your paper globally – simply add the BibTeX entry to /pencil-code/doc/citations/ref.bib and include a categorization tag. Instructions:https://pencil-code.readthedocs.io/en/latest/dochowto/addcitations.html#scientific-usage-of-the-pc
Add your paper to a specific module – link publications directly to a Fortran module, so its documentation shows the relevant references. Instructions: https://pencil-code.readthedocs.io/en/latest/dochowto/addcitations.html#scientific-citations-to-individual-fortran-modules
No more manual PDF updates! Every new entry automatically updates the scientific usage section and keeps it current.
I encourage all contributors to add their publications and help keep the Pencil Code scientific record complete.
Cheers,
Illa
