+1 for Getty AAT terms.
From the perspective of the "consuming" user, I guess, any (hierarchical) categorization scheme would IMO make a big difference since it could be used for faceted search.

Thanks Ethan
This is really fantastic news, and it would certainly be worth thinking about adding in thesaurus types. Did you have specific ones in mind? If we could show it in action with ANS then it might provide a useful template both for others to ry out, and for us to experiment with in the API.
All the best

I have push changes into other projects that use Numishare:
ANS collection:
http://numismatics.org/search/pelagios.void.rdf (136,000+ annotated things--don't load in your browser!)
Coin Hoards of the Roman Republic:
http://numismatics.org/chrr/pelagios.void.rdf (I inserted the Getty AAT URI for "hoard" as dcterms:format)
These go along with the recently re-released dumps from OCRE (
http://numismatics.org/ocre/pelagios.void.rdf) and UVA (
http://coins.lib.virginia.edu/pelagios.void.rdf)
We could insert object type URIs into the triples for an AnnotatedThing, but they would be nomisma URIs for object types. We're in the process of creating concordances between nomisma and Getty identifiers. Aside from the coin hoard projects, most of our other annotated things are coins, but there are also medallions, ingots, or tesserae (the numismatic type of object, not a mosaic piece). It might be useful restarting the conversation on linking annotated things to a defined thesaurus object types (e.g., Getty).
