Theproblem is mainly because the drivers provided by vendor does not support windows 10 (this happens if you have migrated from windows 7 or windows 8.1).Reinstalling the bluetooth driver (Programs and Features)only would solve the problem.

I had to open a ticket with the Intel support because uninstalling / repairing / installing the right driver wasn't working. The solution was to enter in the BIOS and setup the default setting. After reinstall the Bluetooth was back:

I have a Dell XPS 13 9350 and had to do a reset of the BIOS to fix this. No idea what had changed in the BIOS, but multiple restarts didn't help. After resetting the BIOS to Factory settings (not BIOS Defaults, but I didn't try that), Bluetooth worked as expected again.

Most of the solutions here did not work for me. In my case, my laptop had an Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver. After searching for that, I ended up on Intel's website and downloaded the latest version of the driver. After running the executable and doing a "Complete" install, I restarted my machine and the Bluetooth switch returned to the Settings window.

Another thing to consider, if you have a spare WLAN adapter / card for your laptop. You can also try to exchange the cards. Check if the Bluetooth afterwards works. Strangly for me it did with my old adapter as soon as I booted into Windows again. So I disabled Bluetooth, turned of the computer and switched my other one (previously not working) back in and it started immediately working again. The switch for turning on Bluetooth was showing up again and it was also listed in the device manager.

I tried most of the above listed suggestions but none did help or brought it back to life. However the quick swap did some magic. This seems to be a bug within Windows 10 because I'm pretty sure this wasn't a connection issue since the WLAN worked flawlessly. Another thing to note is that a driver update of either the WLAN or Bluetooth broke the Bluetooth functionality.

So if you have a second one lying around and don't want to tinker with software methods which probably won't work if you your adapter disappeared in the device manager try this out. It might be a quicker fix.

I had to do a system restore because I had previously installed the "ScpToolkit", which is for connecting a Playstation 3 Dualshock controller to your computer via bluetooth. It seemed to screw up the bluetooth on my Acer laptop completely.

I also tried uninstalling everything related to Bluetooth in Device manager and then reinstalling some of the Bluetooth drivers found on Acer website for my laptop but those didn't do anything. Bluetooth still wasn't showing up on Device Manager (even though I turned on View --> Show hidden devices).

I noticed I had another issue too that when I go into device manager, I was constantly refreshing after every little while. I figured I should perhaps fix that first and following up, it indeed was connected with bluetooth driver. When I uninstalled the bluetooth device, the refreshing stopped.

I had the show hidden devices option enabled from view menu. There were several items listed under blutooth (previously connected device). I uninstalled them all but they will come back when scan for new devices.

Another suggestion I can give you is if you can somehow force this dialog (posted above) to come and selected `Allow bluetooth devices to find this PC' (this was the deselected when the dialog came up), that seems to apply the proper settings too perhaps.

The problem returned after reboot. I searched "bluetooth" in installed programs for drivers and I had two different ones installed as listed bow. Uninstalling the WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software and rebooting fixed the issue for good. (First I let it stay and uninstalled the intel one but that didn't fix the problem).

For instance, I have a VMWare client running on my work laptop. Today I discovered I was unable to use my bluetooth headset for a Zoom call on the laptop. The Bluetooth button in the Action Center was gone, and the Windows 10 bluetooth settings for my headset said simply, "Bluetooth is turned off".

After looking around for a while, I realized the VMWare client window was stealing the USB bluetooth adapter from the host (the laptop), as shown below. Once I unchecked that, all bluetooth features on the laptop came back:

I had recently changed out a mouse peripheral, and removed what I thought was the dongle for the old mouse. However, it turned out the dongle for the Bluetooth Adapter and the old mouse/peripheral dongle were sized & shaped exactly the same (with no branding).

So, after a while I realized the issue was less technical when Windows reported that there was no Bluetooth Capability - got the old mouse of the recycling bin and switched to the correct dongle... Yes not the smartest of solutions, but someday will hopefully help another person from unnecessary debugging

After installing Windows 10 I have completely lost my bluetooth option on my laptop. It no longer appears under device manager. Also, I am unable to uninstall the bluetooth program/driver that appears in Control Panel.

In device manager, right click this PC select manage, there should be a section called Bluetooth. It should appear even if all services are disabled. If it is not there I would double check my BIOS/UEFI and make sure the bluetooth adapter is turned on. I have all bluetooth options and apps disabled and the device still shows up although it is also disabled.

Thank you. My windows 10 was an upgrade, not a fresh install. I have ran Services.msc and found that it will only let me start two of the five bluetooth options. Bluetooth Handsfree Device and Bluetooth Support Service. The other 3 give me error 1053.

As stated, there is no bluetooth section appearing in Device Manager. This disappeared after installing Windows 10. In Bluetooth and other device settings in Windows 10 there is no option to turn on blue tooth, which would lead me to think the bluetooth driver needs to be updated/reinstalled, but does not work. I get an error when I try to repair from the control panel . Also, control panel does not provide an option to uninstall. There are no changes with reinstalling the driver either.

I just now see my blue tooth adapter in Device Manager when looking for hidden devices. I tried updating but it says my version is the latest and there are no updates. I guess its good I found where I can see it, but have no idea where to go from here.

Control panal doesnt have a bluetooth option, that is correct. Also you don't have to worry about your BIOS or UEFI but usually you select F1, or F10 or F12 on boot, depends on model etc, some are DEL. I wouldn't mess about in there it doesnt seem like thats your issue.

You can right click this pc and go to the hardware tab and click device installation settings and allow the computer to auto update drivers. I would also run windows update and make sure there isnt any drivers that have not been selected.

I previously saw my bluetooth adapter in device manager, but I don't know after uninstalling it. I read something where this could allow the adapter to be reinstalled, but it hasn't. I currently do not see my bluetooth adapter in device manager.

I do not have a bluetooth driver management service in my services section. The closest I have is Bluetooth Support Service or Bluetooth Media Service. Bluetooth Support Service is set to automatic. I get an error when I try to start Bluetooth Media Service.

I recently add the AX200 Desktop Set to my PC build. Wifi works fine, but windows device manager can't find bluetooth device. I've tried some suggestions in the forums like checking & installing the driver, restarting bluetooth services, and finally checking the M.2 Key E Slot in my motherboard. Strangely, when I tried to boot from Linux Ubuntu LTS 20.04 FF, it detected all the capabilities of the network card, both BT and WIFI.

Have you found any solve to this issue for people who are having the issue persist through tons of wipes>restarts>installs>restarts? Personally I dont use the wifi or bluetooth other than for printing, I'm hard wired otherwise and recently went to print something today and notice both my bluetooth and wifi adapters gone. Looked for them in dev manager, both also gone. Did your solution a ton of times to no avail. Updated bios, tried again, nothing. For reference I'm using an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wifi, and normally my bluetooth/wifi adapters are disabled, but I can always see them and they're greyed out on my adapters page. I noticed they were just gone today and started troubleshooting and nothing has worked yet. I also did a network reset when all else failed, to try and get it to reinstall all the network adapters but that didnt work either. Anything else you got we can try? Would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I unplugged my LAN connection and made sure windows displayed "no connection" on the taskbar. The WiFi on the AX200 works (it can find networks in search), but I didn't connect it to any network ever. Especially since windows informs me that I have no internet connection whenever I unplug the LAN cable.

If you're sure that you are staying disconnected, then keep uninstalling the drivers and rebooting until the drivers are gone. Remember that this is Wireless and BT both. In the BT case, the Intel driver is gone when you either don't see the device or you see the device listed generically with a Microsoft BT driver (I have modified my instructions above to make this clear). If this never happens (translation: you've done the uninstall/reboot, say, 10 times), then something is broken in your installation (most likely bad installer/uninstaller from Intel). You could try using Microsoft's troubleshooter (see this article for more information) or try one of the third-party driver driver removal products (I don't have a specific recommendation (I personally have never had to use one), but this article provides some recommendations).
