Very often the articles in the 

 Equine Disease Quarterly from the University of Kentucky

tend to be on the dry side. 

This quarter's articles seem different - along with the usual international roundup of equine disease outbreaks there is opening Commentary on "The Unwanted Horse" and articles on "Preserving Rare HorseBreeds", "Wild Horse and Burro Program" and "Guttural Pouch Mycosis" - a devastating disease that too often goes unnoticed until it's difficult to treat.
