writing with pen

Hi there!

As far as I know I have a vaio laptop with windows vista OS. While fiddling with its features I was fascinated with the possibility of using my handwriting. But when I tried to use the tablet Pc input I found that it was quite impossible to use the interface without a pen to write on. Now I am confused. Can I use your pen function in my laptop even if my instrument is not a Tablet PC? Frankly I do not know the difference between a laptop and a Tablet PC. So would you be kind enough to clarify my queries? Further is it possible to purchase your digital pen online if ever it can be used.

Yes, if you have the hardware.
The one that Pegasus' partners produce is a small receiver and a special pen.
You plug the receiver to your USB port and it will watch where the special pen is.
You can use the special pen to write on paper (with normal ink) but it also needs batteries and will send pulses to the receiver so your computer knows where the pen is.
 

Frankly I do not know the difference between a laptop and a Tablet PC.

As far as I know, a "Tablet PC" is a laptop with a touch screen layer over the screen which watches where you tap it. I didn't try whether attaching the receiver to the screen would allow me to write on the screen, but frankly, I prefer writing on paper anyway.

I got mine at eBay (I got one that allows you to record your writing even _without_ a PC).
