Subject: [Transmedia-LA] Culver City looking for Game Themed Art
To: Transmedia LA <
transm...@googlegroups.com>
Greetings everyone,
The City of Culver City is offering a $6,500 grant for a game-themed
public artwork to be installed during the IndieCade videogame festival
in October 2011.
I got the grant last year for my game/installation “Culverland" -
http://culverland.com/ .
I'm not applying this year, and I've been asked to encourage everyone
else out there with any ideas for a large scale public game, or game-
themed art project to apply. You will find the official Request for
Proposal here...
http://culvercity.org/en/Articles/RFPArtInstallation
The deadline for submissions is May 9. The RFP on the Culver City
website should explains everything, but if you need any help
submitting, want to see what I submitted to get the grant last year,
or have any other questions, please contact me on- or off-list. And
please pass this information along to anyone else you think might be
interested in this.
Again, here are the facts.
The money: $6,500
The deadline for submission: May 9.
The actual installation dates: September/October 2011, during the
IndieCade Festival of Independent Games.
Thanks!
John Derevlany
