Greetings to all our PEERS fans! We’re beginning a new weekly series of PEERS announcements, rather than sending them out on an irregular basis, as we have done in the past. Going forward we’ll be sending an announcement to the PEERS email list every Monday at Noon, Pacific Time, reminding everyone of upcoming events and discussing any other events that we think may be of interest to you.
If anyone has any questions or comments you can always reach us at pe...@peersdance.org.
If you wish to be removed from this mailing list you may use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of this email.
NEXT PEERS BALL
The next of our monthly balls will be the Gilded Age Ball on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
Join us at a spectacular late Victorian Ball at the historic Alameda Elks Lodge Ballroom and Salon. Greenwich Mean Time will play a varied program of late 19th Century dance music, ranging from Victorian rotary waltzes, Viennese waltzes, polkas, mazurka waltzes, and schottisches to quadrilles, contra dances and mixers.
Full details on the ball are available at our website at https://peersdance.org/gilded.html
Tickets may be purchased at the same link.
WEEKLY DANCE CLASS
Our weekly dance class will take place this week on Tuesday, April 11. The newcomer friendly class runs from 7 to 8, followed by a more advanced class from 8 to 9. Dance classes are held at the Alameda Elks Lodge at 2255 Santa Clara Avenue in Alameda. Classes are $10 for the full evening.
During the month of April we'll be focusing on the social dances of the late 19th Century - in preparation for our May 6 Gilded Age Ball.
More details on the dance class may be found at https://peersdance.org/classes.html
OTHER EVENTS
We’ll be at the Greater Bay Area Costumers’ Guild Costumers Bazaar on Sunday, April 16. There should be a lot of wonderful costumes, fabrics, and patterns on sale.
Be sure to stop by the PEERS booth, where we'll have a variety of historical costumes in Medium, Large, and Plus-Sizes for sale. The Costumers' Guild's Costume Bazaar always has wonderful bargains and a number of beautiful historical and fantasy costumes.
Details are on the GBACG website at https://gbacg.org/event/costumers-bazaar/
