Hi, Peeragogues!

Happy Summer!!

We just finished co-facilitating a hybrid Focus Group at EuroPLoP 2024! :) Mary was in the room in Germany while Paola, Sridevi, and I joined remotely from North America! We were in the 17:00 – 18:30 local time slot at the event in Kloster Irsee detailed in the "Program" section of the conference website.

The session was tied to our PLACARD Focus Group at AsianPLoP earlier this year along with our two Patterns of Patterns papers. PLoP stands for "Pattern Languages of Programs". We did a PAR (Project Action Review) at the end of the session. You can read the notes in the attached screenshots. As a reminder, the five questions are:
  1. Review the intention: what do we expect to learn or make together?
  2. Establish what is happening: what and how are we learning?
  3. What are some different perspectives on what’s happening?
  4. What did we learn or change?
  5. What else should we change going forward?
For another reminder, PLACARD is a synthesis of PARs, Causal Layered Analysis (CLA) and Design Pattern Languages (DPL). You can read more in our conference submission. You can find it in our "2024 Papers & Projects" folder on the Peeragogy Google Drive at this link

The slides Mary presented are in the same folder at a this different link

If you want to read even more, please check out our two papers from past USA PLoP conferences.
