_.The marriage took place at Greystoke Castle, Cumbria, 20 April, 2013, of Gustavus Michael Stucley Hamilton-Russell, 11th Viscount Boyne (b 27 May, 1965) son of the late 10th Viscount Boyne, KCVO (1931-95), of Burwarton, Bridgnorth, Salop, by his wife the former Rosemary Anne Stucley (scion of the Stucley Baronets), & Miss Julia Howard.

Lord Boyne married firstly, in 1991, Lucy, daughter of George Potter, by whom he has three children. I have scanned the Greystoke branch of the Howard Family (Dukes of Norfolk) for a Julia Howard and can't seem to locate her. Is the bride Julia Frances Howard (b 3 Oct 1964), dau of Sir John Philip Howard, 6th Baronet, of Corby Castle, Carlisle?

Is the castle still under Howard ownership? What is the relationship between the Howard baronets and the ducal family?

The 1st Bt married (1660) Catherine Howard, a descendant of the 4th Duke of Norfolk via his third son Lord William Howard.

Philip Howard, the son of Sir John Philip Howard-Lawson, 6th Baronet, was suing his father for unlawfully selling the ancestral home of Corby Castle. Mr Howard, attempted to disinherit his father, the 6th Baronet, for failing to respect the wishes of Sir Philip John Canning Howard who had stated in a will that his heirs must change their name to Howard and adopt the family coat of arms.

Philip 'lost' the case insofar as he was awarded £5.60 per annum by the courts:

The courts don't like frivolous law suits!

Julia Frances Veronica Howard is a 10th cousin of a parent of Gustavus Michael Stucley Hamilton-Russell, Viscount Boyne.

I think Greystoke Castle is owned by the Howard Family. Lord Henry Howard-Molyneux-Howard owned it and he was the brother of the 12th Duke of Norfolk. He was also the grandfather of Sir Edward Stafford Howard KCB JP DL and Esme Howard 1st Baron Howard of Penrith GCB GCMG CVO.

Lord Henry’s son Henry Howard owned Greystoke Castle and Thornbury Castle. Henry Howard’s grandson via Sir Edward Stafford Howard KCB JP DL was Sir Algar Howard KCB KCVO MC TD.

Thornbury Castle is now a hotal owned by von Essen hotals

I don’t know which descendant of Lord Henry Howard-Molyneux-Howard owns Greystoke Castle. Replies would be great.

Looking at the Boyne article in Debrett's, I wondered why Frederick, the Viscount's eldest son, wasn't listed as the heir to the viscountcy. I found the answer here - the Viscount and his first wife adopted him, therefore he isn't eligible for the viscountcy.

I can't open the link but I see Debrett clearly labels him as an adopted son.

I made my Debrett comment from memory as I don't have the copy to hand. They usually label children as adopted where appropriate, but maybe they didn't on this occasion?

I have the 2008 and 2011 editions of Debretts and neither labels Frederick as adopted. The link I provided is a copy of the Burkes entry for the viscountcy, which does show him as adopted, as I said in my previous post.
