From the Times of 24 Sep 2025: ELWES Rosalie Ann (née Hennessy) died peacefully on 18th September 2025, aged 91. Loving wife of the late Peter Elwes, dear mother to Luke, Ben, Marcus and Hattie and proud grandmother to seven. Funeral to be held at Sacred Heart Church, Edge Hill, Wimbledon… at 11.30am on 20th October 2025. Family flowers only. Donations appreciated to St Raphael’s Hospice, Sutton.

She was d of 2^nd Baron WINDLESHAM 1903-62 and Angela d 1956 d of Julian DUGGAN 1869-1933 of Buenos Aires and Angela CASEY. She m 1960 Peter John Gervase 1929-2017 s of Lt-Col Simon Edmund Vincent ELWES 1902-75 scion of that gentry family of Roxby and Hon Gloria Elinor RODD 1901-75 d of 1^st Baron RENNELL 1858-1941 and Lilias Georgina 1864-1951 d of James Alexander GUTHRIE 1823-73 scion of that Scots gentry family of Craigie and as her 1^st h Elinor STIRLING 1840-1911 (Mrs Forster Arbuthnot), and had three sons and a dau as above. Her seven gc born between 1993 & 2001 are all accounted for in her entry sub B Windlesham.
