From the Telegraph of 9 May 2013: HARDIE Henry David Stewart OBE on May 2nd aged 88. Beloved husband of Shelagh and loving father of James, Clare and Hilary and grandfather of 7. Service at 12 noon on Friday 17th May at St Andrew's Church, Northmoor Road, Oxford. No flowers please but donations if desired to 'Alzheimer's Society' or 'RNLI' c/o The Co-operative Funeralcare, 29 Rogers Street, Oxford, OX2 7JS.
He was s of Lt-Col James Smart HARDIE OBE (d 1974) and Evelyn Young Watson STEWART (1899-1981), scion of the Bts of that name of Balgownie. He m 1955 Shelagh Rosemary d of J H SMYTH of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and had a son and two daus.
