From the Times of 20 March 2019: HARLEY Mary died peacefully on 13th March 2019, aged 93. Beloved wife of the late Chris Harley, loving mother to Alison, Janet, Christina and Alan and a loving grandmother to her ten grandchildren. Memorial service on Friday 29th March, at 2.30pm, at the Church of Scotland, Strathpeffer. Family flowers only but donations if wished to Save the Children or Oxfam.

She was d of Rev William John Stuart WEIR (1887-1970) by his 1924 m to Sybil (1885-1964) only d of Charles James LONGMAN (1852-1934), the eponymous publisher, by his 1880 m (reg Q3 Hertfordshire) to Harriet (c1858-1938) d of Sir John EVANS KCB FRS (1823-1908) and Harriet Ann DICKINSON. She m 1951 Chris(topher) James (1922-?) s of James Glen HARLEY and Bertha Emily (1883-1967) d of William FitzGerald DIGBY (1844-98, 3xgt gs of 5th Baron DIGBY (1661-1752) and scion of the LEICESTER, SUFFOLK & BERKSHIRE, GAINSBOROUGH and SOUTHAMPTON earls, CAMPDEN viscounts, etc etc) and Charlotte Mary LEE (d 1932)), and had a son and 3 daus as above.
