From the Telegraph of 22 March 2021: Lt. Col. James Otway George (Tim), aged 91, died peacefully at home on Monday 15th March, 2021. Beloved husband of Trish, much-loved father and grandfather. Private cremation on Thursday 8th April, to be followed by a service of thanksgiving at All Saints Parish Church Odiham in the summer. Family flowers only, or donations to the church if desired.

He was s of Brig James Angus PATON OBE 1894-1970 by his 1924 m to Loveday Eileen 1898-1976 d of Adm Sir Reginald Godfrey Otway TUPPER GBE KCB CVO 1850-1945 (gs of Sir Jonah Denny-Wheeler-Cuffe 1st Bt c1769-1853) and his 1st w Emily Charlotte GREER c1865-1929 scion of that Irish gentry family. He m 1958 Patricia (Trish) Nell b 1931 d of Brig Tristram Hugh MASSY-BERESFORD 1896-1987 2xgt gs of 2nd Baron MASSY 1733-90 & gs of 1st Baron DUNLEATH 1819-95, and Helen Lindsay 1903-79 d of Lindsay Crompton LAWFORD 1857-1929 of Montreal, and had two sons and two daus

The following extract is from Debrett's ed 1928, Knightage section, pg 1249, and relates to Adm Sir Reginald Godfrey Otway Tupper

"Tupper, Adm. Sir Reginald Godfrey Otway, G.B.E. , K. C. B., C. V.O., son of Capt. Charles William Tupper, formerly 7th Fusiliers;

b 1859; entered R. N. 1873, became Lieut. 1882, Com. 1894, Capt. 1901, Rear-Adm. 1910, Vice- Adm 1916, and Adm. 1919; retired

1921; served with Vitu Punitive Expedition 1890 (despatches , medal with clasp), in Crete 1904- 05, and during European War 1914- 19

as Rear- Adm. Patrol Area , Vice- Adm. Comdg Atlantic Blockade, and Adm. Northern Patrol ( Com. Legion of Honour); was Dep.

Commr., W. Pacific when in command of Pylades 1899- 1901, Assist. Director of Naval ordinance  1902- 03, Naval A.D.C. to H M
