A few days ago the Official Roll of the Baronetage showed the Spencer-Nairn baronetcy (UK 1933) as being vacant.  Sir Robert Arnold Spencer-Nairn, 3rd Baronet b 1933 has therefore died.  I have been waiting for a death notice/obit but so far nothing has appeared or at least not that I have found.  Stephen Kershaw tells me that Sir Robert died on 13 February 2025 - perhaps there will be a death notice, maybe in the Scottish press, soon.

Sir Robert was the s of Lt-Col Sir Douglas Leslie Spencer Spencer-Nairn TD, 2nd Baronet (1906-1970) and (m as his 1st w 1931, div 1946) Elizabeth Livingston HENDERSON (d 1985). He m 1963 Joanna Elizabeth SALT (d 2024) of the Salt baronets (1899) and they had 2 s and a d.  His elder son succeeds him:-

(Sir) James Robert SPENCER-NAIRN, 4th Baronet (subject to proving his succession and being entered on the Official Roll) b 1966 m 1994 Dominique Jane WILLIAMSON and has issue:-

ALASTAIR CHARLES b 1999 (heir apparent)
Rory Fergus b 2001
