Noel John Parker-Jervis (aka Bachee and PJ) died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of September 1st, 2024, in Victoria at the age of 103. Predeceased by his wife, Betty, and his brother, Tony (Doris), he is survived by his son Jonty (Chantal), brother Chris (Catriona) and many nieces and nephews, and great / great-great ones. Born in Singapore, educated in the UK and Vancouver, he fought in World War II ('39-'45) before attending UBC. After teaching high school in Trail and Gibsons for several years, he married Betty and moved to Edmonton where he embarked on a 30-year career as an English professor at the U of A. He and Betty retired in 1987 to a house near UVic where he lived until he was hospitalized for the last three months of his life [...]

He was the son of St Vincent John PARKER-JERVIS (1891 - 1931), scion of the ST VINCENT viscounts (descended from the 2nd viscount) and Marianita ROLLER.

He m 1950 (div 1954) Jean Mary COLUMBUS.  He m 2ndly 1956 Betty RUTHERFORD (1926 - 2017).  They adopted a son Johnathan (Jonty) Rutherford PARKER-JERVIS (born 1962).

Brother Chris is unknown to Debrett's database.

See https://www.stgeorges.bc.ca/list-detail?pk=64247, relating to John Frederick HARKER (14 VI 1896 - 14 VIII 1975), the second husband (married 20 IX 1930) of Marianita Hilda ROLLER (12 XI 1898 - 9 IV 1985). It says there that he had a son, Christopher, whom I  would surmise to be the brother (of the half blood) mentioned in the late Mr Parker-Jervis's obituary.
