From the Telegraph of 4 July 2025: ORR EWING On Monday 23rd June, peacefully at home, Diana Mary (née Waters), beloved wife of Eddie and much loved sister and sister-in-law of Robin and Rosie, her three nephews and their families; and stepmother to Jane, Victoria and Alastair, and Ouma to their children. Cremation at 2 p.m. on 16th July, Roucan Loch... A service of prayer will be held in Portpatrick at a later date.

She was d of Capt William Smith WATERS OBE 1903-95 of Raughton Head, Cumbria by his 1941 m reg Q1 Dalmeny to Marjorie Marie DICKSON 1908-81. She m 1981 as his 2^nd w Maj Edward (Eddie) Stuart CVO b 1931 s of Capt David ORR EWING DSO RN 1900-64 (gs of Sir Archibald ORR EWING 1^st Bt 1818-93, as well gs of 7^th Earl of GLASGOW 1833-1915, etc) and Helen Mary Stuart 1904-94 d of Benjamin NOAKS of Bloemfontein, S Africa.
