She was d of George GRUBB 1903-73 of Gerards Cross, Bucks by his 5 Sep 1932 m (St Aidan’s, York) to Winifred Emma COBLEY. 1901-87. She m 1956 James Edward SHELLEY CBE 1932-2017 s of Vice Adm Richard BENYON CB CBE 1892-1968 (s of Lt-Col Sir John SHELLEY 9^th Bt 1848-1931, changed name from SHELLEY upon inheriting Englefield estate from his cousin Sir Henry BENYON 1^st Bt. Adm Benyon’s gs is the LP Baron BENYON b 1960 who is The Lord Chamberlain) and Eve Alice GASCOYNE-CECIL 1900-95 gd of 3^rd Marquess of SALISBURY 1830-1903 (VICTORIA’s last PM and EDWARD VII’s first PM), as well gd of 1^st Earl of LATHOM 1837-98, gt gd of 4^th Earl of CLARENDON 1800-70, 2xgt gd of 1^st Earl of VERULAM 1775-1845, etc etc, and had two sons and two daus.
