From the Times of 24 Feb 2025: BROTHERTON The Venerable Michael Died peacefully at home in Bristol on 12th February, aged 89. Beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather. Requiem Mass at St Mary’s, Bourne Street, London, on Wednesday 19th March at 11am. No flowers. Donations to Prisoners Abroad and USPG.

I take this to be the father of (Mark) Christian Meade BROTHERTON who m 1995 Alice Susan b 1970 d of Maj Simon PLEYDELL-BOUVERIE 1928-2012 (gs s of 6^th Earl of RADNOR 1868-1930) and Vivien Eleanor 1940-2016 d of Sir Richard Michael KEANE 6^th Bt 1909-2010 and Olivia Dorothy HAWKSHAW 1913-96, and had a son and two daus.

The late Ven (John) Michael BROTHERTON, Archdeacon of Chichester, 1991-2002, was born on 7 December 1935, and married Daphne Margaret Yvonne MEADE (born 27 X 1936), daughter of Sir Geoffrey MEADE, on 29 June 1963. I therefore think it very likely that Richard has correctly identified him as the father of (Mark) Christian Meade BROTHERTON.
