With the death of Lord Monk Bretton, there are now only 5 peers who are older than the Queen.: Lord Saye and Sele (1920), Earl of Elgin (1924), Lord Walsingham (1925),  Lord Wakehurst (1925) and the Marquess of Ailesbury (March 31, 1926)

Thank you very much Ivan for this comprehensive list. I have just one clarification - Is Baron Christopher the only Life Peer older than the Queen?

Two things I forgot to mention: Sir John Nicholas Pelham, 14th Baronet is also Earl of Chichester and Sir Philip Chetwode, 8th Baronet is also Baron Chetwode. By mistake I posted name of Sir Sir Richard William Hyde-Parker, 12th Baronet who died in March 2022.

Actually two of the baronets that I have named above who were older than HM, died in 2021. First is Sir Peter Frederick Leighton Mills, 3rd Baronet (b. 9 Jul 1924) who died on 30 Jun 2021, second is Sir Benjamin David Ross Brodie, 5th Baronet (b. 29 May 1925) who died on 1 January 2021.

Interestingly none of the baronets who succeed before Queen Elizabeth II in 1952 died and only two peers of nine died since September 2022. Also as of February 2025 3 peers older than HM are living: 15th Earl of Kincardine who turned 101 yestrday, 9th Baron Walsingham who will turn 100 on 21 February and Lord Christopher who will turn 100 in April.

Worth noting that even though only two of the nine died since 8 September 2022 there was one just a few days earlier in September and another a few weeks earlier in August 2022.Both holding their titles for more than eighty years but only in two reigns!
