Death notice from the Telegraph, six weeks ago: CROWDY  CROWDY - Brigadier Rupert Crowdy OBE late Royal Corps of Transport, passed away peacefully on Monday 23rd January, aged 106. The funeral will be held at Oxford Crematorium on 27th February at 12.30 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Alzheimer's Society c/o E Taylor and Son, 21 Corbett Road, Carterton.

He was s of Albert Edwin CROWDY (1875-1965) and Frances Beryl GREEN (1881-1976). He was ADC to The QUEEN 1962-63. He m 1939 Norah Gwynne JONES (1915-2006) and had a son (b 1941 at Murree, Pakistan) who predeceased him, and three daus including Philippa Wendy who m 1971 Col Michael Henry Hastings BROOKE OBE (b 1948), scion of the BROOKEBOROUGH viscounts, and had two sons.
