From the Telegraph of 14 Jan 2026: COCHRANE-DYET With great sadness we announce the death of Col Rhoderick (Rory) Cochrane-Dyet on 25th December 2025 leaving behind beloved wife Alella. Children Nick, Amanda and Jamie. Grandfather to eight, great grandfather to five and two expected. Thanksgiving Service on 11th February 2026 at St Mary's Church, Hambleden at 11.30 a.m.

He was s of Col John C COCHRANE-DYET. He m 1 1957 (div 1969) Elizabeth Jennifer Jane b 1934 d of Almeric Hugh SEYMOUR CBE 1894-1950 and Margaret Kathleen 1898-1984 d of Percy Howe BROWNE 1868-1940 (gs of 2 Marquess of SLIGO 1788-1845, etc) and Alice Tremlett MARILLER 1867-[1967], and had two sons and a dau as above. He m 2 1969 Allela Harwood d of Maj John ANNAN and Pamela Harwood JAMES.
