From the Telegraph of 7 Oct 2023: LITCHFIELD Mark died peacefully on 19th September after a short illness aged 82. Loving father of Vasco and Larissa and devoted grandfather of his five grandchildren whom he adored.

He was s of Capt John Shirley Sandys LITCHFIELD OBE RN 1903-93 (who he succ as) head of that gentry family of Snowfield and Margaret Cecilia 1908-2006 d of Brig-Gen Sir Bertram Percy PORTAL KCB DSO 1866-1949 (s of Sir Wyndham Spencer PORTAL 1^st Bt 1822-1905 gf of 1^st & only Viscount PORTAL 1885-1949) and Hon Margaret Louisa LITTLETON 1869-1945 d of 3^rd Baron HATHERTON 1842-1930 and Charlotte Louisa 1844-1923 d of Sir Charles Robert ROWLEY 4^th Bt 1800-88 and Hon Maria Louisa VANNECK c1812-1878 d of 2^nd Baron HUNTINGFIELD 1778-1844. He m 1974 (div 1978) Marcia OSORIO, and had a son and a dau:
