From the Telegraph of 7 Sep 2024: VERNON Rosheen Elizabeth Mary (née O'Meara) died peacefully at home on September 1st, aged 96. Wife of Michael, loving mother of Mark, adored grandmother of Jessica, Phoebe, and Wilfred and proud great grandmother to Alfie, Oscar and Joe. Private funeral with a celebration of Rosheen's life to be held later in the year. No flowers please but donations if desired can be made to Parkinson's UK.

She was d of George O’MEARA of Johannesburg. She m 1952 as his 1^st w Sir (William) Michael 1926-2014 s of Sir Wilfred Douglas VERNON 1897-1973 (gs of Sir William VERNON 1^st Bt 1835-1919) and Nancy ELizabeth 1899-1999 d of Tom JACKSON 1861- JP of Waterfoot, Heaton, Bolton, and had a son as above.
