Re: Hulbert-Powells-

Alumni Cantabrigienses has a Charles Lacy Hulbert (Hulbert-Powell from 1927), of Trinity Coll. (B.A. 1892, M.A. 1900), in holy orders (inc. Hon. Canon of Ely 1925) s. of Rev. Charles Augustus Hulbert, rector of Nether Broughton, Leics.

Burke's Family Index has Hulbert-Powell of Burrell's Field, Cambridge in the 1952 ed., headed by the above Rev. Charles Lacy, who m. Eva Catherine, dau. of Rev. Evelyn Joseph Hone, Rector of Esher, Surrey. They had a son- Evelyn Charles Lacy, as in your post, Henry- and a dau. Evelyn Charles Lacy Hulbert-Powell was educ. Charterhouse, Trinity Coll. Cantab. (B.A. 1936, M.A. 1948), barrister of Lincoln's Inn.

Rev. Charles Lacy Hulbert-Powell also of Crigyll, Rhosneigr, Anglesey, should anyone be researching this family. Additionally the Powell family entered the equation on the 1868 marriage of Rev. Charles Augustus Hulbert (as above) to Louisa, dau. of Rev. Benjamin Powell, J.P., of Bellingham Lodge, Wigan, and of 1, Cambridge Square, Hyde Park; her brother was Sir Francis Sharp Powell, 1st and last baronet, M.P.
