He was a yr s of Capt Robert Douglas LEIGH-PEMBERTON MBE MC 1896-1964 sometime head of that gentry family of Torry Hill (f of the LP Baron KINGSDOWN 1927-2013) and Helen Isabel 1898-1985 d of Rev Francis Henry PAYNE-GALLWEY 1859-1934 (gs of Gen Sir William PAYNE 1st Bt 1759-1831 by his w a dau of 1st Earl of DUNRAVEN & MOUNT EARL 1752-1824 whose w was a dau of 1st Earl of ILCHESTER 1704-76) and Florence Kate Lowry COLE 1857-1927. He m 1973 (eng Times 19 June) reg Q3 Kent Alexandra Valerie d of J C A ROPER and V.
