The peer, b. in 1941, is a yr so of the 3rd Baron Hamilton of Dalzell
(1911-90), by his wife Rosemary Olive Coke, scion of the Earls of
Leicester. He married in 1968, Anne Catharine Napier, and is the father
of 3 daughters, Laura, Iona and Alice.

CUNNINGHAM OF FELLING, of Felling in the County of Tyne and Wear. Dr
Cunningham was b. 4 Aug 1939, the son of Andrew Cunningham. He served
as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Rt Hon James Callaghan,
1972-76; was Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, 1997-98;
Minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of
Lancaster, 1998-99; Deputy Lieutenant for Cumbria from 1991. He married
in 1964, Maureen (NN), and is father of 1 son and 2 daughters. He was
sworn of the Privy Council in 1993.
